Every now and again we get to list something really special and this 45ft Narrowboat Tug certainly fits that bill.
This boat started life as two separate butty's from the 1930's but was rebuilt in 2019 into this classic Narrowboat Tug and has been lovingly maintained ever since, she is absolutely immaculate.
The fitout was finished in 2021 by the current owner along with the guys at P&S Marine and he is now only selling to facilitate a move back to land.
This is one for the purist narrow-boater looking for a traditional style boat with an engine that will ensure you are constantly stopped by people to come and have a look. The Lister engine, which was also rebuilt in 2019, is the heartbeat of this boat with its distinctive exhaust rhythm and, just like the rest of the boat, it is in excellent condition. It's a Lister HRW2M fitted to a PRM gearbox with a bespoke Aquadrive system and bespoke bronze propellor. The engine was completely rebuilt by John Pattle prior to fitting.
The boatman's cabin at the aft can be made up into a double bed, moving forward through the engine room there is a walkthrough heads with Thetford cassette toilet and shower compartment. The main saloon and galley has good headroom for this style of boat and there is space under the bow area for a second double berth or sofa.
