Broker's Comments
This beautiful historic barge has been lovingly restored by the current owner who is a qualified marine engineer. Therefore, you can guarantee that the maintenance of this boat is exemplary.
The vessel has been fitted out to keep a traditional style, while utilising the latest technology - the heating, supplied by the Heritage range, is controlled through the Hive app on your phone. The brand new cast-iron radiators ensure maximum efficiency while being totally in keeping with the age of the boat. Many of the fixtures and fittings have been individually sourced or reclaimed. The bathroom even has a Victorian coin operated latch (complete with coins) so you can "spend a penny". And the fully working system of bakelite telephones for onboard communications is a delight!
The boat has been regularly out of the water at least every two years, and was last blacked in Jan 2021. BSS expires Jan 2026.
The fully residential mooring includes a small area of bankside creating an idyllic private spot that is the envy of the marina. Current mooring fees are circa £12,000 pa, but any prospective buyer must make their own enquiries with the mooring management to get an up-to-date figure.
