Comentario del broker
This quaint and cozy Dutch Barge offers simple living for a simpler life.
Originally built circa 1900, using riveted iron, the previous owner spent a considerable amount maintaining the hull. A recent survey (2019) confirms that given her age, she is in remarkably good condition.
The internal accommodation has also been extensively restored, done with sensitivity that allows the full character and charm of vessel to remain.
The fully residential mooring, certainly a significant factor in the sale, offers secluded living within a close, friendly community in a very tranquil location of Ash Island, but with good transport links to central London from Hampton Court.
On shore facilities include a laundry and post room, as well as the usual water, electricity and Elsan disposal.
Please note, cats and dogs are not allowed on the island.
Current mooring fees are approximately £400/month, making this one of the most reasonably priced residential moorings in the area. The mooring is fully transferable, with an 8% transfer fee, which can be negotiated between the buyer and the seller. These fees are reduced because the engine has been decommissioned, but is still in-situ.
The vessel has had a recent BSS inspection and has a valid certificate until 2024. She was last out of the water in late 2019 for the survey, when she was also blacked and had new anodes fitted.
