Broker's Comments
Possibly one of the last 'reasonably priced' moorings left in London. This wide beam was built by Viking, so the quality of the boat is superior to many others on the market.
Located at the top of Cambridge Heath Road, the residential mooring is right in the centre of vibrant Hackney. The mooring fees are £650/month with the very unusual security of a 10 year lease on the mooring.
The boat itself has two cabins, making it ideal for a small family, although it is important to note, there are steep steps down to the pontoon. Alternatively, the second cabin could be converted to an office.
The forward cabin has a full sized double bed, and opens out onto the well-deck with views across the canal. Because of the proximity of the bridge, there is no possibility of another boat being moored on the outside.
The heads has two toilets, one compositing, one using the holding tank - important when waiting for the 'poo-boat' to visit.
The boats was last docked in October 2022, when she was blacked and new anodes fitted. BSS expires in October 2026.
The boat has been well maintained throughout its ownership, with the engine regularly started even though the boat hasn't been moved much.
