Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 27m Thames Lighter Houseboat for sale with residential mooring at Sturt's Lock Mooring, a fantastic location between Hoxton and Islington and with Shoreditch Park 30 seconds from the boat.
This is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire a very large, transferable mooring spot on the Regent's Canal with the potential to refurbish the existing boat or change it for something else as this barge is non-navigable.
The barge itself was surveyed in the water in March 2020 and this report is available. There are two cabins with one bathroom and the main, open plan living area and galley is huge with skylights letting in plenty of light. The boat has not been lifted for a long time so we would recommend organising an out of water survey to inspect the hull.
Sturt's Lock Mooring is managed by Canal & River Trust and is fully transferable. There is no transfer fee either. The moorings have electricity, water and pump out. It really is an extremely rare opportunity for someone to get hold of such a large boat and mooring in this part of London - you won't find anything else similar in this fashionable part of town.
