Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are pleased to offer this Stevens 1040 for sale with London residential mooring at Limehouse Basin, E14.
These Dutch steel cruisers make good liveaboards with two cabins, some exterior space on the flybridge and a large saloon with dinette. This is a 1989 example which has been well maintained and set up for cruising on the Thames should you feel adventurous.
At the bow of the vessel there are two very large single berths. There is an infill section to make this into a large double. Underneath each berth are storage cupboards.
The galley is situated on the port side and comprises a three burner gas hob, oven and grill, a large refrigerator, sink with H&C pressurised water, large work top and plenty of storage space for accessories. Opposite on the starboard side is the dinette which can comfortably seat up to 4 people. The table drops down to convert into a double bed.
Moving aft and up three steps we enter the saloon/lower helm. Most of the floorboards can be lifted to give full engine access. Moving aft down 2 steps on the right are the heads. A spacious area consisting of a manual sea toilet connected to a holding tank, sink with pressured H&C water, and a pull out shower head.
Finally at the stern of the vessel the aft cabin has a large double berth with storage cupboards beneath. There is a large hanging locker and another large cupboard with plenty of shelving. Access to the aft deck and upper helm is gained via steps leading up from the saloon area. There is a pull out door and a hatch that folds upwards to make access easier to this area.
The aft deck is a very spacious area, allowing enough room for a table and chairs during the summer months.
This boat is being sold with a transferable residential mooring at Limehouse Basin so can be used as a full time liveaboard. The marina charge a 7.5% + VAT transfer fee (of the sale price).
These boat details are subject to contract.
