Comentario del broker
Boatshed London are pleased to offer this 60ft Narrowboat for sale with permanent mooring at Springfield Marina in East London.
Built in 1972 and recently completely rebuilt from the gunwales up and fitted out in style, this boat would make an ideal home for an individual or couple who want to make the leap into living afloat. The boat has a totally open plan layout giving it a great feeling of space, even for a narrowboat and the permanent mooring means that you are not having to find a new spot every two weeks. There is a 65ft garden alongside the mooring with a vegetable patch, shed, wood store and sitting in the sun and watching the world go by. The mooring is on the wall at Springfield Marina, a highly sought after spot with a strong community spirit.
The boat is well equipped for a liveaboard with a brand new Morso stove, gas cooker and a Japanese bath designed for two! Solar panel, sprayfoam insulation, double glazing and solar panels mean you can live a low impact and cozy life. The layout design and finishing has been done in a quirky and stylish way and the boat won the Little Ship Club's award for best reconstruction project. The floors are in reclaimed mahogany parquet and slate from the lake district and the walls are sustainably sourced waterproof ply finished with earthborne clay paints and Fired Earth tiles.
In addition to the solar panels, there is a LPG conversion generator for charging the batteries as there is no fixed electricity supply at this mooring site.
Three final bits of work are outstanding for the new owner - fixed lighting solution, panelling the rear hatch to improve look and thermal performance and choosing the colour for the topcoat.
The mooring at Springfield Marina is transferable on payment of a 6% transfer fee and current mooring fees are approximately £400 a month.
