Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 46ft Narrowboat for sale with London mooring at Vyner Street, Hackney.
This boat has been completely rebuilt by the current owner and the attention to detail and craftmanship on show is amazing. From the use of old bits of furniture repurposed as part of the boat right down to the laser cut signplates in the engine bay, this boat has been beautifully designed and executed.
The boat was surveyed in May 2020 and blacked at the same time. The topsides were repainted in September 2020 and looks fantastic. This really is a boat you can move straight into because of the person you are buying it from. Nothing is left to chance here. There is a long list of work that the owner has done mechanically too in the four years he has been working on it and I can share all this with a serious buyer. There is also a BSS to August 2022.
The mooring at Vyner Street can be transferred to the new owner. The mooring fee is only £500pcm, you won't find cheaper in London so even two years here saves you £12,000 on what you would pay in Limehouse for example. Please feel free to call and I can discuss this in more detail.
The mooring itself is brilliantly located on the canal between Hackney and Cambridge Heath. 5 mins to Bethnal Green, 3 mins to Cambridge Heath Road and Shoreditch, Victoria Park, Broadway Market, Haggerston etc. are all in walking distance. A hipster's dream. The mooring itself only has four boats so is a small and friendly community. There is a locked access to the mooring providing good security.
