Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are pleased to offer this 40ft Narrowboat for sale with London residential mooring at South Dock Marina, SE16.
Built in 1990, this boat has been primarily designed as a static liveaboard boat and it makes an excellent first boat or even a London pied-a-terre for an individual or couple.
Entering from the stern there is an open plan living area and galley with multifuel stove and the boat has side hatches on both sides letting in plenty of light. There is some work required to repair the panelling beneath one of them.
The cabin is a good size with a double bed running across the boat and a cleverly designed bathroom with elsan heads and shower.
The boat is fitted with a 15hp Honda outboard which we have not tried to start and our view is that this would be underpowered to take the boat cruising regularly, something which has never bothered its previous owners.
The residential mooring at South Dock is fully transferable with a £4,250 transfer fee payable. Current mooring fees are approx. £6,000 per annum.
These boat details are subject to contract.
