A 1GM10 Yanmar single cylinder inboard diesel engine with raw water cooling consumption 1L per hour. Serviced annually, last done in April 2014. Yanmar gear box with Morse controls. Shaft drive to a 2 bladed prop. New shaft bearing and seal. 1 x 25L plastic fuel tank, 2 x 300L plastic water tanks. 1 x 25L holding tank.

The Hunter is a sloop with fractional rig, deck stepped mast with anodised aluminium mast and boom by Z Spars 1995, self-tacking jib with roller reefing, and slab reefing main with lazy jacks.

The Hunter Ranger 265 has modern lines and the it's hull shape is renown for stablility and great handling. This is complimented by a very easy to handle rig with self-tacking jib. Most Ranger 265s were built with bilge keels although fin keel versions were also built. The round-bilged hull form flattens into a near-chine aft, improving downwind stability and giving enough volume aft to provaide a double aft-cabin. Bilge-keel versions have a remarkably high angle of vanishing stability (AVS) * of 147°.

This superb family yacht packs a lot of accommodation into her length, with 4 adult plus two childrens berths, and 6 foot plus headroom. The joinery on this yacht looks very good and she appears to have been very well cared for by her fastidious owner. The cooker has been replaced and so has the upholstery been changed in 2013. She smells and looks a treat.

This Hunter 265 Ranger is beautifully presented and has been looked after by her fastidious owner. A real gem - fantastic accommodation, fantastic performance, fantastic stability. These qualities make an ideal yacht for families. She is easy to handle too. This is a lovely example of a Hunter 265 Ranger as you will be able to see from my photograhps.
