Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 62ft Dutch Barge for sale with London residential mooring in Poplar Dock Marina, near Canary Wharf.
Recently surveyed and offered at a very realistic price for selling, this barge is a characterful floating home in one of London's most desirable marinas.
Built around 1923, the barge has two double cabins with the option to use the wheelhouse as a third cabin. There is an open living area and galley space with multi-fuel stove but the boat benefits from having diesel powered central heating too.
Both cabins have decent sized double beds and plenty of storage space which makes this boat ideal for a family or an individual/couple who could rent out the second bedroom. The second bedroom is currently set up as a study.
Poplar Dock Marina is a tight knit community of boaters and the marina has a real village feel despite being 10 minutes from Canary Wharf. The marina has excellent security, laundry facilities, WiFi, shower and loo block and onsite staff.
The marina is well served with Blackwall DLR 5 minutes away and Canary Wharf Jubilee station about 12 minutes walk.
The residential mooring is fully transferable to the new owner on payment of a 7.5% transfer fee to the marina. Current mooring fees are roughly £12,000 p.a.
