Broker's Comments

Following a change of plans, this Klipper Aak Dutch Barge is now for sale at a great price!

She looks in superb condition, as evidenced by a hull survey carried out last year and has had the benefit of a powerful and recent low-hours Mercedes Benz OM352 engine fitted.

She has been prepared mechanically and structurally to meet the requirements for a Rhine licence and now needs completion down below - a chance to tailor her to your needs.

She has the TRIVW/ES-TRIN safety certification permitting her to cruise on Mainland European Waters.

Her hold, with full-height headroom, has been fully insulated, has new portholes and is panel lined, retaining key period features.

Her interior was intended to be modern, open plan, loft living and a major contrast to external expectations.

A brand new Kubola Kombi boiler and radiators are awaiting installation to provide all hot water and heating. New velux style saloon roof windows are supplied ready to be fitted. Much other period equipment yet to be installed. Two other aft cabins are awaiting completion

This Dutch Barge represents an ideal opportunity and provides a blank canvas for someone who wishes to complete her interior to their own design and use as a cruising houseboat to tour the continent.

Alternatively she could be used as a residential houseboat and there also is the possibility of a London or River Orwell based residential mooring available separately by negotiation

Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
