Broker's Comments
This 14m Dutch Barge project is ready for a new owner to bring it back to life. It has had a troubled year as it was the victim of criminals who gutted it during lockdown whilst the owner was unable to get to it.
The good news is that the hull is in excellent condition and has a 2021 survey along with works invoices done post-survey. The new owners will need to fit a new galley, electrics and plumbing but the overall shell is a great base to work from. It is double glazed, has really good headroom throughout for a Dutch Barge and has a new BSS.
The topsides also appear in decent order and were repainted in 2021. The wheelhouse collapses for navigation on the canals. It has had new batteries fitted and the owner has got the engine running although it is due a service.
I think this will make a great continuous cruiser for someone with the requisite skills to put their stamp on it. The dimensions are great for London cruising. The boat is currently permanently moored in East London and it could be kept in situ whilst any works are carried out in the short term.
