Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are very pleased to offer this Ideal 40 Broads Cruiser for sale with residential mooring at Poplar Dock Marina in E London.
The big advantage of a GRP cruiser over a more traditional liveaboard like a narrowboat is the greater space on offer as well as loads of light and outside space on the top deck.
This boat was built in 1983 and is presented in really good condition and ready to move straight onto. Everything is working and with two cabins and two heads, it could even work for a family. Both loos go into holding tanks onboard.
The BMC 1.8 engine looks clean and tidy and the owner has run it up regularly. On my visit, it started straight away and sounds smooth.
The residential mooring at Poplar Dock is fully transferable to the new owner on payment of a 5% transfer fee (of the sale price). Current mooring fees are roughly £10,100 per annum. The marina has a laundry, pump out, landline phone connection, shore power and communal BBQ area too. There is a great community feel here that sets it apart from other marinas.
