Comment from hull survey 2018 :
steel hull of recreational craft must have a hull thickness of at least 4 mm or 80% of the original hull thickness.
The hull of the inspected craft is originally build as a hard shine 4mm steel hull with steel frames. We inspected the hull by visual inspection and tapered the hull with a steel hammer. After this inspection, the hull thickness is measured with an ultrasound measuring device in an ordination of at least 100cm and on the most suspicious places.
The minimum hull thickness is measured underneath the toilet area and is 3.3 mm.
This means the hull is above the minimum required 80% of the original hull thickness.

Altena 1250 for sale in UK. Boatshed Hamble is pleased to offer this good example of a steel motor cruiser from the Dutch motor yacht manufacturer Altena. She boats some great space both inside and out, drip fed diesel heating with radiators throughout and new batteries in 2021. A light and airy comfortable vessel for live aboard or extended cruising. The boat came to the UK under its own power in 2018.
