Comentario del broker
The Inchcape MFV class of yachts was purposely designed for a growing number of yachtsmen, who were looking for strong traditionally built vessels that could provide both excellent proven seakeeping ability and spacious / comfortable living accommodation.
The Inchcape 45 meets these requirements well. Robust and handsome, the hull is built along the classic lines of traditional motor sailing fishing vessels, which were capable of working hard over extended periods of time in the testing conditions of the North Sea and beyond.
The decks with solid bulwarks are wide, uncluttered and easy to move around. The wheelhouse is spacious, light, has good visibility all around and gives excellent protection from the elements. Both masts are set in tabernacles for ease of lowering, enabling canal use when required.
The accommodation below has a grand and tasteful feel about it. Although one has to see through the work in progress on this particular vessel, you still get the feel of comfort and quality in this huge living space. With well over 6ft headroom throughout, the smart Iroko finish with bronze port holes gives a warm and timeless atmosphere.
The current owner who sailed her down from Newcastle in 2016, where she handled the challenging weather conditions easily, has recently decided to take a step back from finishing this project. This is unfortunately due to ill health. He has already competed much of the needed work to a high standard including new decks, new tanks, rebuilding the main mast and redecorating the forward and aft cabins.
As can be seen from the recent photographs of this sturdy vessel there is still some professional work to be completed to repair the starboard bow to get her back on the water. And yes there is still work to be done to complete internally including to the galley and heads compartments. This of course is the fun bit which will allow you to make her your own.
This vessel, launched by Princess Margaret in 1971, is one of the largest and last built of it’s class. It offers a safe, strong and sea kindly yacht that can provide comfort for the whole family and at a very reasonable price.
Whoever finishes this project will have a vessel to be proud of. Yard costs available on request.
