The MERCRUISER 5.0 L MPI delivers 260 hp (195 kW), providing all the power needed for this type of vessel. It is a robust petrol V8, widely used and well known for its reliability, based on proven engineering. Fuel consumption in mixed cruising conditions is around 20 l/h.
One of its key advantages is its low engine hours—only 350 hours, reflecting the boat’s limited use.
The engine compartment is generous for a boat of this size, making maintenance easy and accessible.
The boat is fitted with two maintenance-free Dolphin Pro batteries: a 180 Ah engine battery and a 108 Ah house battery, both replaced in 2023.
It is also equipped with a DuoProp propeller set, specifically designed to maximise engine efficiency and performance: reduced fuel consumption, improved manoeuvrability (excellent course-holding) and stronger acceleration.

The FAETON shipyard, located near Almería in the south-east of Spain, is one of Europe’s leading builders of motorboats from 7 to 12 metres. With 45 years of experience and more than 3,000 boats built, the yard has expertise across all areas of boatbuilding. Its reputation is such that it now also manufactures boats for other brands, including the Danish RAND BOATS and the stunning Astondoa 377 Coupe Model. FAETON is particularly well known for producing exceptionally solid boats.
The yard works in collaboration with the prestigious American naval architecture firm of David Napier for hull design. Napier is renowned for his deep-Vee hulls, engineered to cut through waves and ensure a comfortable ride even in rough sea conditions. These hulls are also recognised for their excellent stability in turns and their ability to keep passengers dry. David Napier is the designer behind the iconic BERTRAM and CABO YACHTS hulls.
The FAETON 780, in its various versions, has enjoyed outstanding success, with over 800 units built.

The bulwarks (rail) are higher than average, providing an additional sense of security.
The non-slip deck coating is exceptional—highly effective while remaining comfortable under bare feet and never abrasive.
The ergonomic seats offer excellent comfort for both the helmsman and the co-pilot.
The open cockpit can be converted into a large full-beam sunpad, or arranged for fishing, thanks to the four rod holders. Two sinks with a freshwater outlet allow easy rinsing of fish, and an exterior shower adds convenience after swimming.

The forward bimini, and the aft canopy if needed, provide excellent sun protection, unless your guests prefer to enjoy the two large sunpads!
The onboard electronics will support you throughout your navigation: VHF, compass, and especially the LOWRANCE Hook Reveal 9, a unit combining high-performance depth sounder, GPS and chartplotter. This model features the largest colour screen in the range (9 inches). This Solar Max display ensures perfect visibility even in bright sunlight.
