This vessel was built as a retirement project by Jim Enoch, a professional shipwright. The current owner has owned this vessel for the last 28 years.

The vessel's hull is of steel construction and the cabin / house structure is wood with fiberglass sheathing. All surfaces are well coated and protected with paint. Steel rails are welded to the deck. The mast is of stainless steel construction. A stainless steel boom has been removed, to reduce weight.

The swim step is constructed from wood and has an integrated outboard mount for a backup means of propulsion.

Steel fuel tanks are located in the engine compartment, the port tank holds 30 gallons, and the starboard tank holds 45 gallons. The freshwater tank (poly), also located in the engine compartment holds 24 gallons and the holding tank (poly) holds ~15 gallons.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed did not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Step aboard this vessel amidships and enter the fully enclosed cockpit. The cockpit on this vessel is large and takes about a third of the length of the vessel. The cockpit has a hard top, constructed from wood. Canvas with near continuous vinyl window panels extend down the side and stern are fastened to the hard top and hull. The full enclosure arrangement makes the cockpit a useable space in all conditions, and is well suited for outdoor cooking, gear storage, and relaxing.

Notably, the cockpit features an on deck shower plumbed to hot water with a drop-down curtain for privacy.

A deck hatch in the cockpit opens to the engine room, and at the forward end of the cockpit side decks, protected by rails, lead to the foredeck, and a door opens into a saloon.

The saloon table lies to port, with seating for a few crew. The upholstered seats have storage beneath (the aft most seat houses a propane locker). The table converts into a double berth for sleeping guests. Opposite of the saloon are three big drawers and a storage cabinet. This boat has a considerable amount of storage throughout. The helm station is forward and to starboard, with the helm seat just across from the saloon table. A hatch above the helm station can be opened for ventilation and additional light.

Three steps lead forward from the saloon into a forward cabin. The forward cabin has a galley to port. The galley is outfitted with a stainless steel sink, two-burner propane stove, toaster oven, and refrigerator / freezer. A good amount of storage is located beneath the galley counter. Larger items can be stowed in the forepeak or in the hanging locker opposite the galley. The head compartment is also located across from the galley. This compartment contains a Jabsco manual marine toilet. Opening portlights and an overhead hatch ventilate the forward cabin.

A queen-sized berth is situated athwartship and beneath the saloon deck. This space is accessed from the aft end of the forward cabin.

Heating is provided by a built-in propane cabin heater.

This is an ideal boat for someone looking for an efficient adventure-ready trawler -- with character. She has served her current owner as a stout and capable platform for fishing and diving in the Strait of Juan de Fuca for 28 years.

She appears to have been quite well maintained in that time and has a new exhaust riser and recently-rebuilt engine heat exchanger. The hull was repainted two years ago and the house and deck were repainted last year with four coats of paint. The owner reports being meticulous with coating the hull and deck with paint to preserve the condition of the hull and house. A galvanic isolator and ELCI provide further protection from galvanic corrosion (particularly important for metal hulls).

This steel-hulled vessel has a slow and steady cruising speed (1.5 gal/hr at 5 knots) and has proven herself in the open ocean on many occasions. She would be well-suited for an inside passage voyage to Alaska.

She has an attractive downeast style though she was custom built in Washington state. I am impressed with the amount of interior space for a vessel of this size. She would make a good liveaboard for one, and can realistically sleep four people while cruising. Surprising amounts of storage space and a unique cabin layout allow for a queen-size berth beneath the saloon. The cockpit is useable in all seasons thanks the the full enclosure that can be rolled up on nice days. The cockpit hardtop and wheelhouse roof would be a great area for installing solar panels.
