Comentario del broker
The original wooden Post Boats were used to deliver mail around the Scottish coast and needed to be strong, capable and seaworthy. These modern versions, moulded in hand laid fibreglass and fitted with polished hardwood & quality fittings, still meet these requirements well. Whilst retaining their traditional look, these pretty gaff rigged sloops are easy to sail and maintain.
This example, which has been in the same family from new, appears to have been lightly used & well maintained during the course of its ownership and is in good, overall condition. The hull could do with a little polish but all the woodwork, rigging, sails and associated equipment seem to be in good order. We observed how easy she was to be rigged by two people and were advised that this could be done single handedly. Easy to launch and recover, the unbraked EU type approved trailer, oars and full boat cover are also included in the inventory.
Pretty and traditional, this Post Boat has a real quality and 'made to last' feel about her, and I believe that, at under half the price of a new one, she would be very good value for money indeed.
