Comentario del broker
The Bruce Roberts Spray described in Practical Boat owner 1995 as the ultimate Cruising boat, capable of comfortable coastal cruising and confident offshore passages.
This 1991-1996 Steel constructed 36 foot Roberts Spray has been meticulously maintained by the current owners and I was constantly surprised at the lack of dirt or corrosion when delving into all the nooks and crannies and bottoms of the seemingly endless storage spaces. With a 12 foot beam and 4 foot draft the current owners have told me stories of cruising to france and exploring up rivers and the canals in comfort and ease.
On deck there is ample space to move about with ease and a spot for a nesting dinghy strapped to the coach roof. From the un-cluttered centre cockpit and the helm postition, you have clear visibility all around even with the spray hood up and you have winches and all sheets within reach.
The main and mizzen sails from 1996 are in great condition and cream in colour to match the deck colour, the foresail was new in 2018 and the old one from 1996 is included in the sale.
The main sail has lazy jacks, and both the mizzen and main have smart looking brown sail covers with white zips and clips.
Heading down the companion way into the open plan galley and saloon you have the feeling of space within the beautifully finished traditional interior. Imediately on the port side is the single berth which has ample under bed storage and houses the batteries and inverter in the boxes at the foot end.
Next is the head with hand basin, and again plenty of storage, the floor is tanked so you are able to have a body wash with the water running straight into the grey water tank situated under the floor.
The open plan saloon wraps full width around the bow in u shaped seating area with a large table capable of seating plenty of friends. The bench seats would double as two extra berths if necessary. The decor is classy and well laid out with book selfs drinks cabinets within reach, and lovely art on the walls.
There is a forward locker which houses the anchor chain and plenty of space for a couple of deck chairs etc.
The Galley is spacious and practical with a 'looks like new' cooker and hob, and sink with an electric kettle for hot water. All within arms reach of the companionway entrance for passing up cups of tea.
Following the starboard side further aft, there is the large nav station with chart table, nav instruments cleverly laid out for ease of use and safe storage at sea. Underneath are situated the freshwater tanks.
Moving further aft you crouch under the low ceiling and past the wet locker for oilies into the master suite, this opens up to full height and is light and roomy for two to sleep comfortably. under the mattress is the access to the steering gear and stern gland. an overhead hatch gains access to the aft deck if required.
At the foot of the companionway, remove the steps and the hatch to gain access into the engine compartment, there are also side hatches from the aft passage and the single berth to get all around if necessary.
The New 60 Hp Beta 60 engine was fitted in 2015 and has approx 200 hours on it, she started from cold first time and didn't kick out any black smoke.
The current owner has quoted a fuel consumption approx 2 litres per hour at a cruising speed of 6 knots.
