Hi - I'm Brian and I run Boatshed London with the help of my wife, Johannah, and our son, Alex (who is currently at University and hoping to take up a post with the Royal Navy).

After graduating in Economics, I spent most of my early career in corporate PR (which comes in quite handy when it comes to marketing and selling boats!) and decided to give up the 'rat race' a few years ago for something much more enjoyable.

We're lucky to have our office aboard HMS President, an historic warship moored on Victoria Embankment, near Temple (we're also lucky to have a bar on board, but that's another story . . . ). From here, we cover most of the tidal Thames, from the Dartford Crossing up to Twickenham Bridge, which is quite a stretch of water to look after.

I started sailing in my teens, mainly on Dart 18s and Lasers, before work (luckily) gave me the opportunity to sail on big boats. I'm a veteran of numerous Cowes Weeks, Fastnet campaigns and RORC and JOG races, though work now tends to get in the way of those pursuits!
